Microsoft FSX – Windows 7 and Vista Fatal Error Possible Fix

Hello there ladies and gentlemen.

I have found a small file thanks to Alan from the Virgin Virtual Airline on Star Alliance. You can actually stop crashes completley in some case with this small file called UIAutomationCore.dll I have had this installed for a couple of months now and haven’t had a crash since. It has been a great help and works instantly.

Now don’t threat it is not hard to install at all in fact there is only one file required and it goes in your main FSX Directory.

For most people this will be located in the following place:

32-Bit: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\

64-Bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\

Or if you have stored it anywhere else make sure you know where. Once you have navigated to the right place you can then download the DLL file:

UIAutomationCore.dll

Then simply copy this file from your downloads folder to the FSX Directory that you already have open. Ensure that FSX is closed. It will not request permission to run but i can asure you that it is running so don’t worry. Please tweet me on Twitter @AdamDuce

How can this help me?!

The menu bar within Flight Simulator X was not designed around the protection of Windows Vista and 7 as some of you know with the User Account Control System the FSX Menu bar and right click menu seems to have a bug in Windows Vista and 7 because of this however the UIAutomationCore.dll file will help the computer to overcome the issues that it has with these menus in Windows Vista and 7.

Computer Cable Management, Is it required?

When it comes to managing the ‘insides’ of your PC should you worry about the cable management in your system what are the worry’s of not managing your cables here are some tips on how your keep your PC running better and possibly cooler by simply managing a few cables.

1. Using cable management is one of the ways to stop power fluctuations and surges in your system, messy/damaged cables checking over your systems wiring by cable managing can determine 9 times out of 10 whether your PC will last as long as they say.

2. Dust Build can be caused by messy cables and can be an absolute nightmare to clean.

3. Airflow, If you have say a fan in the front of your computer case and another at the rear of the case it will cause bad airflow if there is anything blocking the air between the fans can cause some serious dust build up!

So; Mess, Danger and Life would you risk it? Cable management is key however if you have an OEM Computer i.e Dell or HP most of the time they will have cable managed it for you. But always check because they hadn’t in my aunts Advent PC and oh my god the amount of dust was incredible.

ALWAYS CABLE MANAGE!

Apple releases tool to combat flashback malware

Apple has released a fresh Java update that it says removes the Flashback Trojan on infected Macintosh computers.

The malware installs itself if a user visits a malicious website, exposing the computer to control by hackers.

The update’s release comes two days after Apple said it was tackling the issue, and a week after an anti-virus firm warned 600,000 Macs were infected.

Another security firm, Kaspersky, has recalled its own Trojan-removal tool after it affected some user settings.

The company said its tool was removing settings on the computers it was being installed on, and promised to offer a replacement shortly.

Tesco selling ‘The new iPad’ for £50?!

‘£50 iPad’ advertised by Tesco will not be honoured

The new iPad is supposed to sell at more than 10 times the price Tesco had advertised

A computer glitch saw the new Apple iPad go up for sale for £49.99 on the Tesco website.

The device is not due for launch until 17 March, and will in fact be priced at £559 for the 4G 64GB model.

A spokesman for Tesco said: “We like to offer our customers unbeatable value, but unfortunately this is an IT error that is currently being corrected.”

He added that no money will be withdrawn from customers who had placed orders.

News of the “offer” spread rapidly over Twitter and Facebook. However, many rightly predicted the deal was too good to be true.

AMD Hackintosh and the Magic Mouse

So, I have a Magic Mouse and i wanted to use it on my AMD Hackintosh I had 6GB of RAM and to utilize all that RAM in Mac I had to  boot with -force64 This enables all of the RAM that a 64bit OS can utilize it. But with the Magic Mouse this will interfere with the Preference Panel and cause it to crash. The fix is to boot without your all of your RAM utilized (arch=i386) without -force64 or you can us this free piece of Software called MagicPrefs which basically is the same that doesn’t seem to contain the bug but is totally 3rd party and has some totally cooler functions with the Magic Mouse. Thanks for reading hope this helps!

To download the app now, click this link.

The new iPhoto for iOS includes many of the photo-editing tools available on the desktop in iPhoto ’11, such as straightening and resizing and a red-eye removal feature. The app also includes a bunch of different brushes to repair, adjust contrast, saturation and sharpness. Finally, the app comes with a number of photo effects templates that will remind many of Instagram.

Our favorite feature has to be photo journals, which allows users to create virtual photo albums, along with notes and text. Users can even add elements such as maps and weather to events, which also looks cool. Each journal can then be published to iCloud or iTunes.
